Glyntwrog House is a Victorian property located on a wooded hillside. We welcome people with disabilities and every effort will be made to accommodate the requirements of disabled people. However, the configuration of the property is unlikely to be suitable for most wheelchair users.
The main car park is located on the lower terrace, with access to the house via a sloping footpath, covered in bark chippings, or by 21 paved steps. We have limited parking adjacent to the house, which offers level access to the front entrance. This space is reserved for people with walking difficulties.
There are two steps leading into the house. All the bedrooms are on the first floor level, which is accessed by a standard flight of 14 stairs with a single handrail. Once on the first floor, there is level access to two of the bedrooms, with a further two or three stairs leading to the remaining two rooms.
Three of the en-suites contain a shower, wash hand basin and WC. The showers have bi-fold doors to offer maximum access width. There is a step up into each of the showers. The fourth en-suite is larger and contains a bath with shower over. A non-slip bath mat is provided and there are handrails on both sides of the bath.
Due to the age of the premises, some of the floors are slightly uneven but all areas have fitted carpets.
We are happy to supply information in larger print for visually impaired visitors.
For guests arriving on public transport, we provide a complimentary shuttle service between the station and the house.
The house and grounds are well lit at all reasonable times.
We would advise prospective guests who wish to visit Glyntwrog House to make us aware of any mobility issues at the time of enquiry so we may correctly advise you on the suitability of the accommodation.
